Here’s how you know you are waaaayyy into your job as a photog…

By February 25, 2009Personal

Today I actually left the studio at a reasonable hour. Tonight Weston’s band was recording at Jon Hazs’ music studio (same sound engineer that did Melissa Vaughan on our website). So as I always tell myself I will, I actually (!!!), went to Yoga and was feeling very good about myself for not being too obsessed with my work. And, as I slid into bed at 11:00 pm after sweating profusely in a room with 20 other people thinking, “dang, should I shower???, ah I need to shower but I am too tired”….. then…. there it was. Just as I was starting to feel like a normal person. Not “a so in love with my job I live, breathe, and eat it person,” I slid into my cozy unmade bed and …… a 100 gig mini hard drive in between my sheets! It must have been left there from my “editing whilst watching crappy tv” session from the night before. I had to laugh to myself. And then realized I just had to bust open my laptop to share with all of you, my hundreds upon hundreds of wonderful friends who would know EXACTLY what I am talking about.

Here is my question to you…. this doesn’t undo all my downward dogs right? I mean those still count if I am on my laptop in bed an hour later contemplating turning on my crappy tv shows and possibly doing some editing???? Or maybe I should shower……

😉 -M

I don’t know about how this blog made everyone else feel but one word comes to mind for me! RELIEF! Because I am realizing I am not the only one who eats, lives, breathes, the pictures I take! There really ARE others out there like me! LOL

hahaha I am dying laughing as I tell my friends I have a date with HP tonight. I love to see HP laying on my pillow (HP Pavilion) and sometimes Mac will join us hahaha so when they say do you have a date tonight? I can honestly say I do. How sad is that, getting all cozied up with an repeat of Housewives of Orange County and good old HP laying on the pillow next to mee all night because I am normally falling to sleep with it on my lap so I toss it onto the pad for cooling which is normally parked on the extra pillow. Ewww I so need a life. Ha, Kim

Ha! Kim that is hilarious. I have a feeling there are quite a few of out there that “edit whilst watching crappy tv.” At least you have a date with you!
