When it rains, it pours.
Over the last 2 and a half weeks, I’ve been to the Mac genius bar about 39 times. Ok, I exaggerate – BUT, the genius staff does recognize me now. Let’s just list out some of the issues: MacBook Pro crashes (fixable). Ipod dies (not fixable). Old laptop needs new memory (fixable). Old laptop won’t hook up to printer (not fixable). Old laptop won’t hook up to imaging monitor (possibly fixable). Old laptop won’t let me publish the Posebook video. Waiting for MacBook Pro to be fixed (on Monday, HOPEFULLY, fingers crossed)… so that I can recover the Posebook video, publish it, and send it off to all of you who are so very patiently waiting! It’s coming! In the meantime, pray for my sanity… I don’t think I can handle one more thing breaking down or crashing. I’ll keep you updated on Monday once I get my computer back from the Mac geniuses. Thanks! -K

Hey everyone!
If you sent us an email over the past 5 days… Just wanted to say thanks for your patience in awaiting a response! Every once in a while, we all need a little R&R! Marissa has been away white water rafting with friends (I’m sure she’ll post a few pics soon)! And I had a chance to spend some time with my wonderful family in Northern California – kayaking, hiking, and tackling the most challenging ropes course EVer (photos to come later today or tomorrow).
The past several weeks have been a tad bit demanding for Marissa & I… I know we’ve alluded to some big things that are ahead of us – unfortunately we can’t yet reveal what those big things are. I never knew how tough it could be to make decisions & re-evaluate our business plan – but it’s been a little draining. So, finally taking a few days away from it all was EXTREMELY refreshing! I just loved taking this time to sort of get a little perspective for my life, and to remember & reflect on what things are the MOST important things in my life (God, family, and my heart’s other deep passions, aside from photography). Marissa & I are so excited about what’s ahead of us with the Boudoir Divas – so many great things coming up this next year. And thanks to our little mini-vacations, M & I are ready to take on the world! đ So, all of this to say… if you’ve sent us an email this week, I’ll be getting back to you today or tomorrow. This lovely client Jessica has a session with us last month and loved it so much that she has booked a pin up party for her bachelorette party in a couple weeks. We can’t wait to have her back in the studio and meet all of her friends.
Here is the email we received from her:
“Hello Gals!
I wanted to let you know that I gave my fiance, Matt, his late birthday/early wedding present this past weekend after a dinner date. He was excited about the greeting card and was awed by the album that you put together for me. He said what a professional and beautiful job you did with it! As he turned the pages of the album he exclaimed, âOh my Godâ and âWow!â and kept on smiling.
He said that heâs never gotten a present like this one before and was thrilled that I had such a wonderful experience at your studio. He also said that after seeing the pictures, he was blown away by the quality of work that The Boudoir Divas do and that you surpass the other photographersâ work that heâs seen. Obviously he thanks you for a job well done and so do I!
I think that what you do for women is such a wonderful thing. You give us the chance to feel pampered, special, and beautiful for a day. Youâll probably agree with me when I say that as women, we are often quick to point out another womanâs best qualities and overlook our own, or only find the negative ones. The albums that you create for us are reminders that we are sexy and they highlight the fact that we have many beautiful qualities.
Thank you for giving us the opportunity to look and feel gorgeous and capturing it in such a beautiful way!
