Shop “kinks” we’re working out…

By Personal3 Comments

Hey there! If you place an order through the shop today, here are a few things to note:

#1) After you place your order and pay through Paypal– the Shop might give you an ‘error’ message, saying that your order was declined. This is NOT the case; as long as your payment has been processed with Paypal, you WILL receive your order confirmation within 24 hours. If you purchase a downloadable product, you will also receive the link to download. Do not pay attention to the error message (we’re in contact with our shopping cart admin to figure out why that error message is being displayed, but for now, please simply disregard). Thanks!

PLEASE DO NOT PLACE YOUR ORDER TWICE!

And, #2) As of right now Paypal is making you pay for shipping – regardless of whether you choose a shipped product or a downloadable product. No, we do NOT charge shipping for downloadable products! I’m trying to figure out where to change this feature through Paypal (if anyone has a tip for me, can you send to [email protected])? Thanks!!! In the meantime, if you have made a purchase and Paypal has charged you shipping (on a downloadable product), don’t fret… I will be sending you a refund through Paypal to return your shipping costs within the next 24 hours after your purchase. Thanks for your patience, and thanks for understanding as we get all these little ‘kinks’ worked out! 🙂

***EDIT TO ADD***
These issues have been fixed! HAPPY SHOPPING!!! 🙂

Thanks, ladies!

Just for fun…

Came across these images today & realized I hadn’t even processed any of my shots from this ‘just for fun’ shoot that Marissa & I did a few months ago w/ some fabulous models. Here are a few of my faves:

The workshop officially starts tomorrow, and we are so excited to meet everyone! We have a GREAT line-up of models (past clients!) that will be joining us for our day of shooting this week, and let me just tell you – you photographers are going to get some awesome shots! The thing I love best about our workshop is the fact that you get one-on-one time with a few of our models; getting the opportunity to practice some of the skills you’ve learned (ie posing, lighting, talking w/ your client, etc), AWAY from the hustle and bustle of workshop craziness. No fighting for your shot around all of the other photogs! 🙂 If you’ve been thinking about joining us at one of our workshops, be sure to sign up for our NEWSLETTER LIST – because we’ll be announcing the next workshop date very soon!

2. What do you hope to learn from the DIVAS? I really hope to learn how to relate to women in this kind of photography. I want to build a solid boudoir portfolio. I am excited about learning the business side of things because I have no experience with the business side of things.
3. How many times have you been to SAN DIEGO? NEVER!! I am really looking forward to visiting San Diego.
4. What is your FAVORITE thing to photograph? Women! I used to say “children”, but after doing just one boudoir session I have since decided that there is just something about photographing women that I love.

10. What one thing in life would you want to remembered for? I would like to be remembered for being “a people person”. I want to be remembered by my kids as being “a fun mom” and by my husband as being “a supportive, loving wife”.

shop-launching
I know we said it was coming a few weeks ago… sorry for the delay! I never knew that setting up a shop would be so difficult. We probably should have had someone help us set it up, as I’ve never been a programmer before! 🙂 Marissa’s hubby Weston helped out a bit, and now we’re just putting on the finishing touches before we officially launch the shop. Thanks for your patience… it’s almost here!!! 🙂

A wonderful inspiration

Today while I was working out I was listening to Sarah Macintosh’s awesome album. For the first time I really, really soaked in her lyrics to the song “Stop, Stop” on her latest album “The Waiters, Watchers, the Listeners the Keepers & Me.”

I can’t get over how gorgeous this song is. She talks about moving away from her old identity into who God wants her to be and how it is only her own self that is holding her back. Beautiful.

“Lately,
I’ve begun to see how
Maybe you’re old
and I’m the
New me
now let me go
Forward,
I am moving ever
Onward,
getting closer to what
I’m worth
a Kings own Son”

I love that last line. I was so moved by it I just had to post. I highly recommend this album. Click here to listen to the full tracks on her My Space page. It is also available for purchase on Itunes.

Happy Sunday! – Marissa
