You all have heard K and I talk about how hard it is to get away from our laptops. There is just so much to do! 🙂 But last weekend we decided for our sanity we need to go to camping and get away from electronics. Here are some images of our wonderful trip. To learn more on the back story of who this group of friends are please visit my weddings blog.
Oh man this song got me so excited the first time I heard it! I even (gasp!) texted while driving to tell K all about it. And the video makes the song even better. Boy am I glad she married Jay-Z because you see his awesomeness rub off on her in this song. All you boudoir divas out there, crank this and get ready to dance because you just won’t be able to help yourself. Happy Friday!!!! – Marissa
We were one of the proud sponsors of Becker’s annual party in Vegas this year, held in the Real World Suite at the Palms! Here are a few snaps from the evening…
We got to chat a bit in a little video interview… so cool, because they were filming in the confession room from The Real World Las Vegas! Fun times. (Thanks, Crystal, for taking some shots!)
See some more photos over at the [b] school blog! Also… just saw this sick video that Becker posted… So glad to see that the clip of us shows how cool we are (sarcasm!) 🙂 Hahaha, I’m picking a piece of lint or something off of Marissa! Lol! We are such nerds sometimes. Anyway, it was a great time, and we were so glad that we were able to sponsor this amazing party! CLICK HERE TO WATCH THE VIDEO!!!
Hey everyone! We’re so excited about this… our new Boudoir Divas Group on Facebook!
The thing I’m most excited about is the “Discussion” Board… a place where you can go to pose questions & discuss some of the questions that we’ve posed for you all. We really appreciate it whenever anyone takes the time to share feedback with us, and we figured this would be a great place to start some discussions about boudoir! So come on over and leave a note/opinion/though/question in the discussion area! 🙂
Alright! Here we go, back to blogging our silly little videos. 🙂 We truly want this blog to be a place where we can share information, ideas, and inspiration. If you have any questions for future episodes of “Marissa Explains It All” – feel free to leave your ?s in our comment box below. Thanks! We’ve already got a few more episodes ready to be posted in the coming weeks; we did a big recording session last week before we headed out for our camping trip, and we tried to answer as many questions as possible. So if you asked us a question on the blog, be sure to check back in the coming weeks to see our answers!
Marissa Explains It All – Episode 2 from Boudoir Divas on Vimeo.
PS – on a totally unrelated note… does anyone know if it’s possible to CHOOSE which frame is frozen through Vimeo? Like the pic above – which is just a random frame of the video… is it possible to change this somewhere? (I think this is probably a question for our good friends Lan & Vu). I mean, Marissa ALWAYS looks cute, but this shot caught her mid-sentence and she sort of looks like she’s pissed. Hahaha! Love ya Riss! 😉 If anyone has the answer, please help us out!
Our friend and client, Leah, volunteered her Sunday so that we could video her, pick her brain about the client’s perspective of a boudoir shoot, and photograph her. You have all seen her in the previous video that we posted, and now I wanted to show her one of her gorgeous teaser images and send her a big public THANK YOU!!! Love you Leah.
This weekend was SOOO great! After a crazy month filled with WPPI and workshops, etc, it was a perfect way to recharge and gear up for the next few months! We ended up camping on the beach (San Clemente). And although it wasn’t very far away (and though it wasn’t ‘real’ camping), it was still perfect. Two nights and two full days away from the office/studio/computers/emails: it was just what we needed.
More pics to come soon… Hope you all had a wonderful weekend!
*EDIT TO ADD: this pic features Marissa & Weston’s furry kids – click here to read more about them! 🙂
Marissa & I are really not ‘divas.’ Seriously. Most people who know us know that we are very low-maintenance, laid-back gals. We love being outdoors… we love hiking, biking, and camping! We’re throwing together a little impromptu camping trip for tonight, and we’re trying to decide where to go. Beach camping? Catalina Island camping? Or somewhere inland, maybe near a lake?
Any opinions? Beach or lake?
Anyone who lives in Socal… any suggestions on your fave camping spots? (San Onofre is closed, we already tried there – oh, and we’re bringing Marissa & Weston’s ‘children’ Lainey & Puddy, so we need a campsite that will let us bring them along).
Oh, and pics will be posted of our adventure next week, for sure! 🙂
We’re still going to have a ‘mini’ workshop in Dallas – but we just needed to push the date back a bit. It’s NOT going to be in March… instead, we’re shooting for the summer. Thanks for understanding! (Also, would you all leave a comment here or send me an email to let me know if you’d prefer a weekEND or a weekDAY?) Thanks!!!
