24 minutes.

By Workshops7 Comments

At the Paris workshop, I talked a lot about how to SAVE TIME on editing, imaging, & album design. You don’t have to slave your life away behind your computer screen! To prove a point, I made the claim that I could design an album in under an hour. So while all the workshop gals were working on their images… I was in this focused-nerdy-Kimberlee-world of album design. I tuned everything/everyone out, buckled down, and designed an album. The exact time it took me? 24 minutes. I’m a super competitive person, so when I challenge myself, I do everything in my power to complete the challenge. I didn’t realize just how focused I was until I saw this video Courtney posted on Facebook. What a nerd I am. Awesome. 🙂

In all seriousness, though… Marissa & I have found that we just love leading workshops, and we love tailoring the information to our attendees. If you all want an intensive lesson on the basics of Photoshop – we’ll do it. If most of the attendees are experts in PS, however, I am more than happy to delve into another topic, such as album design – or editing video – or creating a website with Showit. We want our workshop to be beneficial to you, so we definitely want to tailor it to fit your needs. Looking forward to meeting everyone at the San Diego workshop next week! See you soon!

If you want to watch the video – here it is!

What a day…..

By Personal4 Comments

There were so many wonderful days during our Europe adventure. This one in particular was very, very memorable. The palace of Versailles was beyond words, I can’t believe people lived so lavishly. I especially enjoyed imagining Marie Antoinette (my initial marketing inspiration for boudoir) walking up and down the grounds.

Kimberlee took this one of me n Westy Poo. I love it.

Weston posted hundreds of photos on our Boucher blog if you have some spare time and want to check them out.

Update on the San Diego Studio

By PersonalNo Comments

Today was a big day for me here at the SD studio. After working on my big revamp plan for marketing, packages and the overall business model for at least 5 months now, I just held an office meeting today and gave all the gals here the low down on the changes. I am nervous and excited all at the same time. Big changes for us. Whew! So much to think about. – Marissa

Before the Paris workshop started, we emailed all the attendees with one little request: “download Beyonce’s “DIVA” song, learn the lyrics, and practice your best Beyonce dance moves.”
They thought we were kidding.
We weren’t. 🙂

Today is our last full day in Europe. Man, have we had a great trip. We took the ferry over to London and that is what we will be exploring today and flying out of tomorrow. We just came from the northern countryside in France where we stayed at a gorgeous Bed and Breakfast called, La Mare Palu, which I will definitely be blogging in the future. We also spent Easter at the American Memorial for D-Day, which was moving beyond words. For now here are a few shots that I imaged on my laptop while on our long  journey to London. – Marissa
