Here’s how you know you are waaaayyy into your job as a photog…

By Personal5 Comments

Today I actually left the studio at a reasonable hour. Tonight Weston’s band was recording at Jon Hazs’ music studio (same sound engineer that did Melissa Vaughan on our website). So as I always tell myself I will, I actually (!!!), went to Yoga and was feeling very good about myself for not being too obsessed with my work. And, as I slid into bed at 11:00 pm after sweating profusely in a room with 20 other people thinking, “dang, should I shower???, ah I need to shower but I am too tired”….. then…. there it was. Just as I was starting to feel like a normal person. Not “a so in love with my job I live, breathe, and eat it person,” I slid into my cozy unmade bed and …… a 100 gig mini hard drive in between my sheets! It must have been left there from my “editing whilst watching crappy tv” session from the night before. I had to laugh to myself. And then realized I just had to bust open my laptop to share with all of you, my hundreds upon hundreds of wonderful friends who would know EXACTLY what I am talking about.

Here is my question to you…. this doesn’t undo all my downward dogs right? I mean those still count if I am on my laptop in bed an hour later contemplating turning on my crappy tv shows and possibly doing some editing???? Or maybe I should shower……

I’m SO PROUD!

By Personal10 Comments

So I know that Marissa is going to be modest and not shout this to the world, but I’m her business partner, and I’m allowed to brag on her behalf. I am just SOOO proud… she won an award of excellence in the print competition at WPPI this year! You may recognize this shot that made its way into the October edition of Rangefinder. Riss, I am so proud to be called your ‘bitner’ – thanks for pushing me toward excellence every day. xoxo, KW
riss
PS – ‘bitner’ is the word Marissa uses to describe me (short for business partner… I know, I know, we’re quirky… but you still love us, right?) 😉 Also, here are a few more shots from the Trade Show:

AND… one last thing (because we’re loving video blogging these days)…
This is Marissa’s VERY FIRST VIDEO!!! (Once again, just oh-so-proud!) 😉

Divas’ Dinner Party

By PersonalNo Comments

This week was so full of activity… from the workshop to the KISS demo shoot, then the Trade Show and all the WPPI events – it was a crazy 9 days in Vegas! In the midst of it all, we took an evening to CELEBRATE the launch of our new product. We assembled a few friends (and our biggest sponsors) for the “Divas Dinner Party” to celebrate the Posebook. Thank you so much to all of our friends & sponsors who were able to make it to our dinner. We are SO very thankful for all that you have done for us this past year. Thanks for your support and for believing in us and our crazy dreams! 🙂 xoxo, Kimberlee & Marissa
