Yep we made a Boudoir Bed Headboard Fabric Backdrop. I keep saying we need to figure out a better name for it. I know it’s been a bit since we’ve posted on our blog, but man has there been SO much going on! I know, I know, we’re always saying that 🙂

But when something this big happens it’s necessary to carve out some time to write on our blog that’s always been so good to us. And by our blog, I mean all of YOU cool cats out there that read our blog! So as we mentioned before, we’ve moved and re-branded a bit. Nothing too wild, just a different location and vibe. And with that change meant it was time to give up our beloved exquisite boudoir headboard. But the thing is that SO, SO many women called our studio over the years and wanted to be photographed on this set. So saying goodbye wasn’t so easy. We had a thought, what if dismantling this boudoir photography asset isn’t necessary, what if instead, we make it available to ALL boudoir photographers. So, we partnered with backdrop outlet, did some tests, and came up with what we think is a must have when it comes to boudoir sets. We know that shooting boudoir photos is so much fun, but it can be expensive and tricky trying to find/rent locations to shoot in. Boudoir is for the Bedroom

We TRULY believe that you need to SHOW your clients what you want to SELL! Our boutique used to be very over-loaded with every kind of product we could find for our clients… and it was just way too much. Don’t overwhelm your clients – just choose those products that YOU love, and have samples to show your clients! We have chosen our favorite albums, large prints, canvas prints, & framed art to showcase in our boutique. Through the years, we’ve have a lot of photographers ask us whether we sell large prints and canvases – and the answer is YES! What better way to show off such a fun experience, than by hanging a large print in your bedroom, bathroom, or walk-in closet? In our opinion, we feel like there are so many beautiful images that would make such a perfect, classy fine art piece for a couple to showcase and hang up… and many of our clients agree! We say that “Boudoir is for the Bedroom™”! So why not try it out? Get a few of your favorite images printed large, put on canvas, and framed – and then show them to your clients so they can imagine having a piece of artwork like that in their own homes.

The Best Photo Lab in the UNIVERSE

Goodmorning photog friends, and happy Monday! K here today, starting off the morning with my cup of (half decaf) coffee, a Christmas playlist, and my beautiful Christmas tree sparkling in the corner. I love this season! But that’s beside the point. Today I wanted to share an FAQ. We recently got the following email from a fellow photographer; I liked her question and thought it would be helpful to post our answer here on the blog!

“Hello, my name is Katie my fiance and I are wedding photographers and I’m currently breaking into boudoir. I watched your top ten on youtube it was very helpful – thank you. I have two questions if you dont’ mind. What print lab do you guys use and what web hosting? Thanks a bunch!”

Thanks for your email, Katie. So first of all, we have used Bay Photo for MANY years, and think they are absolutely, hands-down, the BEST photo lab in the universe! We use Bay for almost ALL of our boudoir products that we offer our clients. Here are just a few of them…

We order all of our clients’ prints through Bay, as well as the 8×8 & 5×7 prints that we include in our basic books that you see here. We also order our calendars, fine art canvas prints, thin wrap prints, metal prints, and framed images through them. On top of ALL of these products that we offer our clients, we ALSO order a ton of awesome products through Bay Photo for marketing – such as their beautiful hard cover press printed books, and press printed postcards, business cards, & trifold cards. So as you can see, we are speaking from experience here. We truly do love Bay Photo and think they are the BEST LAB IN THE UNIVERSE. 🙂

We get asked all the time, “so how do you create your sets?”
