We’re so excited about tomorrow afternoon… [b]ecker is doing a photo shoot of Marissa & I for some updated headshots! Here’s a shot of us at [b]’s last Vegas party (which was, of course, so much fun!) 🙂
I am actually able to say that I have already had the pleasure of working with Becker in this capacity before… I was a bridesmaid in a wedding he shot about 5 years ago! He’s such a talented photographer – and we are so excited about the shoot! See you tomorrow afternoon, Becker!
Kimberlee shot these in Paris. I just looove them! Even if you simply left Paris with a portfolio you could post online and SAY that you photographed boudoir in Paris, it would be worth the money right there. A definite way to stand out to your clients. I want everyone to experience what a great, great thing the Paris workshop is.
That’s her up on the couch shooting. Crazy lady!
If you are considering the Paris workshop, check out the video a couple posts below.
Laura, thank you for letting me post some of your images. I have way too many favs. “Star 5, star 5, star 5, star 5.” It’s like you almost hope there is a bad one so you don’t star every image. Love it when the client is relaxed, this is the result. The top shot is again with Weston’s wonderful light. I think the umbrella image is one my favorites ever. She looks very mysteriously cool and I am in love with the parasol. -Marissa
So… I’m going through all of my Paris/Europe photos (yes, yes, FINALLY)… and I came across this random scene from Paris. We were meeting w/ all of our workshop attendees 1-on-1 at this cute little cafe on the streets outside of the Diva flat, and when I glanced up I just started cracking up when I saw this randomness. I couldn’t help but interrupt our little chat so that I could snap a photo of this. I have no idea what’s going on in this scene, but it still makes me smile. 🙂 Hope you’re all having a happy Wednesday!
On another note… Marissa & I are bouncing off the walls today after hearing something extremely exciting. Can’t wait to share with you all!!!!!!!!!!!
Traveling in France this year was really and truly a dream come true! After the Paris boudoir workshop, we took a roadtrip along Northern France… and on our way to Normandie, Marissa begged her hubby Weston to pull over at this field of yellow flowers. I’m so glad she made us turn around and go back here – it was truly a magical spot!
Once the spots are booked for our Paris Boudoir Photography Workshop, Kimberlee n’ I will be giving a lucky contest winner/attendee the following FOUR bad-ass, and totally necessary, apps for their iPhone. Check it out::
If you don’t have an iPhone, never fear – I guess we will send you a cute book on Paris. Still very necessary. 🙂 No worries, I am still waiting for my excruciatingly long phone contract to be up, so that I too can get an iPhone. Sigh. -M
Oh, ps., what should we do for our BIG “$400 off Paris” contest??? What do you all want to see our workshop attendees do? Photo contest? Video submission? Other? Help us decide! (Leave a comment w/ your opinion on what we should make out attendees do!) 🙂
While we were in Chicago last week, we got to hang out with some super-cool photographer friends for a wonderful lunch at Urban Belly! Thank you, Kenny, for arranging the meet-up… and for spoiling us with a delicious lunch! 🙂 Here we are, with: Kenny Kim | Jennifer Gaudreau | Kevin Swan | Dane Sanders
I grabbed this photo from Kenny Kim’s blog – thanks again, Kenny… you rock! 🙂

Today is Marissa’s birthday. What can I say about this fabulous woman who has inspired so many people (including myself?!) This gal is more than a stellar businesswoman, entrepreneur, photographer, and business partner. Having the opportunity to observe her in her personal life, I have been able to see that for Marissa, family is way more important than anything else in life. She is a wonderful wife, daughter, granddaughter, cousin, soon-to-be-aunt, and she is a loyal, sweet friend to all who know her. Marissa, thanks for being the best business partner (or bitner, as you call it) that a gal could ever ask for. But more than that, thank you for being my friend! Happy Birthday! Love, Kimee (K-dawg, bitner, ‘Ruth’, etc). 🙂
Here are a few photos from Marissa’s birthday celebration last week. This was SUCH a fun night!!! (It was also Leah’s birthday… happy bday, Leah!)
