Hey guys – Just wanted to let you know that we’re working w/ our shopping cart system right now, trying to figure out how to make the Posebook videos downloadable! We had to split the video into 2 parts – so each part is about 10 minutes. We’re going to have 2 different links for you to download each of the parts… so right now we’re just waiting for our shopping cart support team to get back to us, making sure that the files WILL be able to be downloaded (right now the shopping cart isn’t allowing us to download them because the files are too big). The Posebook Video is going to be absolutely FREE for anyone who has purchased the POSEBOOK! We just love the Posebook – and we already think it is THE ultimate posing guide for boudoir! But we’re always looking for ways to improve – to push our products to the next level – and to create awesome resources that will be helpful to you! We’ve heard so many great testimonials from all of you about how much you love the Posebook, and we are truly SO happy that you are finding it helpful! In boudoir photography, posing your client is one of the most difficult aspects to creating your images. The lighting is one thing – but if you don’t have a good pose (and expression!), your image just isn’t as impactful as it could be. If you have an arsenal of good boudoir poses under your belt, your shoot will go so much smoother! We love our quick reference guide – it’s the perfect thing to have out during your photo shoot, to glance at it and create a plan of action for your next pose. (Rather than having to come up with the next pose on the fly, while working with your lighting, and also while trying to talk w/ your client, making sure she feels comfortable!) It’s a lot to think about, so if you have your Quick Reference guide open, it’s the perfect way to quickly & easily move on to the next pose. ALSO – the video is going to be downloadable for your iphone!!! We are so excited about this feature – it’ll be great for you to download & watch it for a quick little posing ‘refresher’ right before your boudoir shoot! Just one quick ‘disclaimer’ about the Posebook video: We realize that it’s not super-high-quality audio, as we didn’t want to professionally produce it (since it’s a freebie, we just wanted to keep it minimal & just get the basics across to you). The intent of the video is really just to demonstrate how we put a client into the poses. It’s not instructional, persay (we don’t talk a lot on the video), so it’s really more of a demo – and a visual for you. It’s great to see our best boudoir poses in the Posebook, but it’s SO much better to actually see VISUALLY how it’s done! We hope that the new free Posing video will be helpful to all of you who have the Posebook!

I certainly don’t want to sound like we’re bragging… BUT… we can hardly contain ourselves! The Boudoir Divas are THE FIRST boudoir photographers to be listed in Grace Ormonde’s platinum vendor listing. In fact, Grace had to create an entirely new category just for us! On top of that – she also asked us if she could use some of our images in the upcoming 2009 Fall/Winter edition of Wedding Style Magazine – for an article all about boudoir! So, please don’t take this as bragging, but rather pure & simple excitement from 2 gals who are just bursting inside as we see all the cool stuff that is happening! 🙂 We can’t wait to get our Fall edition of the mag! So exciting! We’re featured in the July issue of Professional Photographer Magazine!!! Thanks, PPA, for featuring us this month… and thank you, Stephanie, for doing a wonderful job on the article! We are SOOO thrilled that boudoir is finally starting to receive the attention it deserves! We’ve worked incredibly hard over the past few years, received a bit of flack in the process, trying to give boudoir a ‘facelift’ and attempting to change the way the industry approaches boudoir – as well as the way the public views boudoir. A few years ago, we couldn’t find ANY resources/workshops/education for boudoir photography… and just when was the last time you saw a boudoir photographer on the speaking line-up for a national photo convention? There wasn’t anything! (Well, until this year at DWF, anyway) 😉 We are just so excited that we are able to say: BOUDOIR IS BACK!™ And we are also incredibly thankful/honored to be able to lead the industry in bringing boudoir to the masses! (More on that later)… 🙂
PS – now all we need is to get on the speaking line-up for WPPI &/or Imaging USA… Not sure why they haven’t gotten back to us; anyone want to start a petition to bring boudoir to these industry events? Haha, kidding. Sort of. 😉
I’m so excited about this! The Boudoir Divas official boudoir photo tour is coming to a city near you very soon! Can’t wait to launch the dates… once we launch them, the photo shoot spots are probably going to book up VERY quickly, so if you’re interested, be sure you sign up fast! 🙂 We’ve received TONS of inquiries from people (photographers and non-photographers alike), asking if we would travel to YOUR CITY to offer a boudoir shoot. So – we’re doin it! We’ll be offering one date in each city (with a very limited number of shoots available on that day!)… and we’ll be bringing boudoir to you! We have FIVE of the cities already lined-up, so that leaves TWO cities that still need to be decided. And how will we decide on those last 2 cities? YOUR VOTES! Last week, we had the incredible privilege of traveling to Chicago for the CPPA meeting! We were invited to present our 2-hr speaking program, Boudoir Is Back!™ We love doing this presentation, because we love sharing about how boudoir photography has made this incredible comeback over the past 2 years! We are so excited to be at the forefront of the industry when it comes to this niche market, and we are always so honored when we are asked to speak about boudoir! Here are a few photos from the day… starting with a shot of the awesome location for the meeting, Cafe La Cave! The CPPA was kind enough to treat us to a fabulous steak dinner before the meeting started (thank you again, CPPA!)
The best part of our presentation is when we get to drop the mics & grab our camera & lighting equipment… we just love being able to actually DEMO what we’re talking about! 🙂 We have to give a HUGE shout-out to our wonderful model, miss Robyn Martin! Thanks so much for being willing to demonstrate our posing techniques in front of the whole group! We really appreciate your help. Thank you!
